High School Highlights: South boys hoop romps

Boys basketball

Nashua South 62, Trinity 44

Andrew Moody led the way scoring 20 points for the Panthers (6-5). Andres Hulfachor and Jaden Murphy scored nine points each. Nashua South travels to Concord on Friday.

Manchester Memorial 49, Bishop Guertin 47

Max Matarazzo scored 14 points in yet another close Cardinals loss. Bishop Guertin sits at 5-7 and hosts Manchester Central on Friday.

ConVal 56, Souhegan 52 (OT)

Matt McCool put together a 22-point performance, in the Sabers’ loss. Jeff Boehm scored 17 points. Souhegan moves to 8-4 and travels to Kingswood on Friday night.

Campbell 90, Raymond 53

Joaquin Heller and Brendan Rice scored 20 and 18 points respectively, in the Cougars (11-2) win. Campbell hosts Monadnock on Friday.

Girls basketball

Raymond 42, Campbell 39

The Cougars (7-8) held on to a slim lead for most of the game only to let it slip away late. Karleigh Schultz had a team high 18 points, Catherine Carignan scored 10 points and Maddie Davis tallied five points. Campbell travels to Monadnock on Friday.

ConVal 41, Souhegan 9

The Sabers drop to 2-12 on season after their ninth straight loss. Souhegan hosts Kingswood on Friday.

Salem 61, Alvirne 35

The Broncos drop to 2-11 on the season. Mikaila Picano (eight points), Sara Ruigrok (seven points) and Dara Ochieng (seven points) played well in the loss. Alvirne welcomes Winnacunnet on Friday.

Exeter 58, Nashua North 55

The Titans (2-12) lose their sixth straight game Tuesday night. Katie Carr and Janessa Lofton had 11 points a piece, while Jaden Smith added 10 points. Nashua North is at Windham on Friday.

Bedford 63, Merrimack 47

The Tomahawks (8-6) were outplayed by a stout Bedford squad Tuesday night. Sam Page had a team high 12 points.

Merrimack welcomes Keene on Friday.

Nashua South 56, Trinity 33

The Panthers (5-9) led wire to wire to secure their second win in a row. South had four players in double figures.

Jasmine Sylvester led the way with 13 points, Aryanna Murray had 12 points, Juliana Martin and Kirsten Martin scored 10 points each.

South hosts Concord on Friday.
