It wasn’t the season opener the Panthers were hoping for, despite 18 points from Kirsten McIntire and eight apiece by Aryanna Murray and Jasmine Sylvester. South hits the road again on Friday, visiting Portsmouth.
Alvirne 31, Keene 29
The visiting Broncos couldn’t have asked for a better – or more dramatic– opener as Abby Dubois hit a two-point bucket as time expired for the game-
winner.
Mikaila added nine points for the Broncos, who travel to take on Merrimack on Friday.
Merrimack 64,
Trinity 22
The Tomahawks crusied in their opener, paced by nine points each by Sammi D’Amico and Theresa Twardosky, and eight apiece by Emma Valuzzi and Shannon Sadwahni. Merrimack is at Goffstown Friday.
Hollis Brookline 56,
Milford 28
The Cavaliers picked up their first win of the season (1-1) as nine players scored, led by Elizabeth Stapelfeld and Abby Magnuszewski with eight each. Amanda Goclowski added 10 rebounds.
The Spartans (0-2) were led by Meghan Cavanaugh’s 11 points.
HB has its home opener Thursday at 6 p.m. vs. Sanborn while Milford next travels to face Timberlane on Friday.

The Cougars led basicall from start to finish in their season opener, up 39-16 at the half. Chad Martel led the way with 19 points while Justin Furlong added 13 and Brendan Rice 11.
Campbell visits Winnisquam on Friday.
