Souhegan steps up, keeps playoff hopes alive

Souhegan's Zena Primmer lays the big hit on Pelham

DERRY — The Souhegan High football team needed something good to happen, and the Sabers got it.

John Lohnes and the offense erupted for a 43-33 win over Pelham High on Saturday.

Both teams now stand at 3-3.

Lohnes was absolutely immense, running for 153 yards on 25 carries and hitting 14 of 26 passes for 204 more.

Lohnes threw a pair of TD passes to Trey Johnson (2-93) and a third to Luke Manning, who caught seven balls for 81 yards. Johnson, who had 8 rushes for 56 yards, added a TD on the ground, and Tyler Hall scooped up 109 yards and a TD in his 11 tries.

The teams combined for 850 yards of offense.
