Panther volleyball still unbeaten; North boys soccer wins
Here’s a look at Monday’s area high school action, which included Nashua South girls volleyball remaining unbeaten and Nashua North boys soccer getting back on the winning track:
GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Nashua South 3,
Spaulding 1
The Panthers remained undefeated (7-0) in handing the Red Raiders their first loss by set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-20, 25-14. Senior captain Anna Campbell spread out 38 assists while Catherine Covert and Kara Kelliher both had 13 kills. Brianna Henderson contributed seven kills and three aces.
South, which also had four players with at least seven digs, hosts Pinkerton on Wednesday.
North 3 Londonderry 0
The host Titans improved to 3-0 with a
25-18, 25-18, 25-19 sweep paced by Sarah St. Pierre’s seven kills and an ace, plust Abby Coy’s nine aces, six kills and seven digs. Other key contributors for the Titans included Haley Stanton (four kills, four aces, one block), Alexis Miranda (nine kills), and Janessa Palmieri (seven digs, one kill).
Both Emerson Martin and Meg Valcort has 11 assists. Meanwhile, Palmieir signed her letter of intent to play volleyball next year at Dakota State.
Hollis Brookline 3
Portsmouth 0
The Cavaliers cruised to a sweep of 25-19, 25-19, 25-14 to improve to 9-0.
Maddie Norris had 14 kills, two blocks and nine digs to lead the way while Kaleigh Whalen added nine kills, three aces and eight digs. Also, Elizabeth Atkinson (eight kills, two blocks), Kyra Belden (28 assists, five aces, three blocks and 10 digs) and Sammie Sheppard (eight digs) had good nights.
HB hosts Manchester Central on Wednesday.

The Cardinals are now 7-1, winners of six straight, after a 25-13, 25-17, 25-19 sweep. Key contributors included Julia Pascucci (six aces, five kills, 13 assists, seven digs), Libby Knapp (seven kills, five digs), Alicia Glasheen (three aces, 10 assists) and Rita Dow (four aces, five kills).
Merrimack 3,
Manchester Central 0
The Tomahawks improved to 3-7 with a 25-10, 25-10, 25-10 sweep. Izzy Smith (15 assists, three aces, Joanne Bonner (12 kills, six digs, three aces), Anya Carver (four aces, eight digs) were all keys to the win for the ‘Hawks, who visit Manchester Memorial on Wednesday.
Milford 3,
John Stark 0
The Spartans are now 8-1 (six straight) with a 25-21, 25-18, 25-17 win. Robyn Krafft (four aces, four kills, five digs), Emily Flaherty (15 assists, three kills) and Gabby Monico (seven kills) led the way.
BOYS SOCCER
Nashua North 3,
Goffstown 2
The Titans got a goal and an assist by Sami Dieu Merci, and scores by Colin McMahon and David Guzman to move to 6-1.Stephen Norris played well in net for North, which visits Salem Tuesday.

Londonderry 0 (2 OT)
Roe Hendrick had seven saves for the Panthers, who are now 5-3-1 before their Battle of the Bridge meeting with Nashua North this Saturday. It was Londonderry’s (4-4-1) second overtime game at Stellos this season.
Coe-Brown 2,
Milford 1
The Spartans suffered a tough one as the game-winner came in the final seconds to sink them to 1-8. A Connor Sullivan header was the lone goal for Milford, which hosts Hollis Brookline on Wednesday.

Wilton-Lyndeborough 4,
Hindsdale 1
The 5-3 Warriors peppered the Hinsdale goal with 24 shots as Elizabeth Jacob had a hat trick to go with Brooke Lane’s solo talley. Assists came from Sophia Sistachs and Sam Boette. WLC hosts unbeaten Sunapee on Thursday.

The Tomahawks got a pair of second half goals by Theresa Twardowsky to improve to 7-2. Julia Valuzzi and Hunter Webb also scored the visiting ‘Hawks, who got assists from Brenna Davenport and Dee Gonzalez. Merrimack hosts Dover on Wednesday.
GOLF
Nashua South second
The Panthers (237) finished sandwiched between Concord (206) and Salem (262) Concord Country Club.
T.J. Gillis and Kailey Pullen led the Panthers with 43 each, followed by Ashok Arun (45), Stephen Robbe (52) and Grace Conard (54).
Alvirne second
The Broncos totaled 205, behind Exeter (193) but ahead of Dover (213) at Cocheco Country Club to move to 8-9.
Tyler Lizotte, Ryan Bantos and Jackie Dowd all had a 39, while Brett McKinley and Colby Dillon each had a 44 to figure in the Broncos’ scoring.

Milford third
Souhegan totaled 95 points at Amherst Country Club, edging Oyster River (94) and besting Milford (66).
Souhegan’s top point getters were Jeff Boehm Nick Jordan, while Milford was led by Ryan Cavanaugh and Jacob Dube
Hollis Brookline second
The Cavaliers totaled 84 points, just behind Portsmouth’s 95 but ahead of Kennett (80) to stand at 16-5.
Aaron Brown led the way for the locals with 19 points, followed by Matt Dias (18), Tony LeFrance (17), Cayden Plummer and Rory Klauber (14). Peter Lown of Portsmouth was the days high point scorer with 25. HB takes on St. Thomas and Pembroke on Friday.
Campbell second
The Cougars totaled 56, ahead of John Stark’s 51 but behind Lebanon’s 70. Top point scorers for Campbell were Sean Ryan (19), Travis Breton (14), Shane Passaro (12) and Nick Molinari (11).
