Nashua South girls hoop ends losing streak

The host Panthers, thanks to Kirsten McIntyre’s career high 23 points, snapped a five-game skid to improve to 5-9. Ariana Murray added 14 for the Panthers, who used a press most of the night. South, holding on to the final playoff spot with a couple of weeks to go, is right back at it on Friday at home vs. Salem.

Keene 48,

Nashua North 37

The shorthanded Titans, despite 11 points from Ariana Motivala and eight from Katherine Carr fell to 5-8. The Titans, who were without Danielle Upton (concussion) and Alana Choate (leg) are off until they host Bedford on Tuesday.

The Cougars rallied from a slow start (trailing 14-9) to take control by the end of the third quarter (53-36) and move to 11-3. Jonah Crema led the way with 23 points while Jake Scafidi added 13.

The Cavaliers lost on Senior Night despite closing to 37-34 late on a win by Clem Sherwood (220).

Other key wins by the Cavs came from Zach Brickner (182, pin) and Owen MacMillan (195, pin) and a decision by Simon Hemenway at 160.

Milford sweeps

Also Thursday, Milford defeated Souhegan 33-15, and topped Winnacunnet 36-18. No details were reported.
