Late goal lifts Goffstown past Merrimack

Goffstown 2, Merrimack 1

Mason Mable scored his second goal of the game with 28.2 seconds left to give the Grizzlies the win over the Tomahawks.

Ryan Downie gave Merrimack (7-7) a 1-0 lead at 4:53 of the second period when he put a rebound past Goffstown goalie Ben Genest on the power play. Shane Foye and Tyler Brewster assisted on the goal.

The Tomahawks had another goal waved off earlier in the period, when the officials ruled Aaron Tupper had intentionally kicked the puck into the net.

Goffstown tied the game when Mable deflected a shot from the point over Merrimack goalie Devin Gillis just 1:42 into the final period.

Gillis finished with 24 saves, while Genest had 23.
