The idea of a road connecting Broad Street with Hollis Street, providing a third crossing of the Nashua River and a way for traffic to avoid Library Hill, has been discussed since at least the 1960s. In 2008, Board of Aldermen vote approving a $37.6 million bond to build the Broad Street Parkway, and in 2011 the city began demolition work in the Millyard. A final design is being drawn up and no completion date is settled, but the road is on its way. This page collects past and ongoing Telegraph coverage of the issue.
