Benson's Wild Animal Park remains in the hearts of those who spent their childhood in Southern New Hampshire. John T. Benson purchased the 200 plus acre property in Hudson in 1922 as a quarantine center for jungle animals destined for zoos across the US. Public interest in his project was so intense that he opened to the public in 1926 and Benson's Wild Animal Park was born. This series features Telegraph stories on Benson's published in the last few years.
