Finally, a response
Earlier, I wrote a letter to the editor lamenting the fact that neither of our U.S. senators responded to my inquiry about their goals for 2019.
On Jan 28, Sen. Hassan’s office replied. Here is her response.
Dear Mr. Watkins,
Thank you for contacting me about my priorities for the 116th Congress. I value your opinion and appreciate you taking the time to write to me about the important issues facing New Hampshire and our nation.
As your United States Senator, I am focused on reaching across party lines to solve problems for the people of New Hampshire. While we were able to pass a number of important measures for Granite Staters over the past two years, we have far more work to do in the next Congress on critical priorities, including expanding economic opportunity, lowering health care costs, combating the opioid epidemic, supporting our veterans and ensuring that our nation is safe and secure.
For more detail on my priorities, please see the Priorities page on my website: https://www.hassan.senate.gov/about/priorities.
Thank you again for writing to share your thoughts, and I hope that you keep in touch with me.
With every good wish,
Margaret Wood Hassan
United States Senator
So, from her response, I expect her to support the president and the wall, how about you?
