A heartfelt thanks

We want to express our deep gratitude for the outpouring of generosity from the Greater Nashua community for children in need this holiday season. As we have for more than 25 years, the Front Door Agency again coordinated a Holiday Santa Program in collaboration with other agencies and organizations to bring toys, warm clothing and food to those who are struggling.

This year, the Agency served 724 children ages newborn to 18 – but we didn’t do it alone! We had the amazing support of hundreds of individuals who bought gifts or donated gift cards or cash for children they will likely never meet.

Thank you to all the businesses who also stepped up to help: BAE Systems employees alone “adopted” 275 children and delivered two large truckloads; Thank you also to employees at Microdesk, Hitachi Cable, Hamblett & Kerrigan, PegaSystems, Bausch Articulating Papers, Oracle, Pennichuck Corporation, PennWell, Whole Foods, Southern NH Health System, Enterprise Bank, World Academy, Gate City Corvette, Keller Williams, Stanley Elevator, Right Networks, Main St. Wellness, Results Fitness, and especially to Roedel Companies and the Courtyard Marriott-Nashua who donated much-needed space to store and distribute gifts.

We are very fortunate that a number of churches also participated by putting up Giving Trees so their members could “adopt” a child. Thank you to St. Joseph Parish, Church of the Good Shepherd, Parish of the Resurrection, Pilgrim Congregational Church, First Church of Nashua, and Hollis Congregational Church.

We are also grateful to the men, women and students who unselfishly volunteered their time to load or unload trucks or to sort or distribute gifts, all to ensure that no child was forgotten. This includes the hard-working staff at the Front Door Agency, along with the Agency’s Board of Directors who were joined at various times by Citizens Bank employees, Merrimack High School football players, BAE employees and Courtyard Marriott employees.

Last but not least, we would like to thank all of you in the community who gave generously online to the Telegraph Santa Fund. Your support provides critical funds to our Agency and other participating organizations so that we can provide food certificates and other essentials to those in need.

Your generosity warms our hearts, brings hope and happiness to the people we serve, and reminds us of the true spirit of the season.

Thank you and best sishes in the New Year!
