Thank you

“It’s a Wonderful Life” here in Wilton. On Sunday, Dec. 22, people streamed into the Town Hall Theater carrying food items for the Open Cupboard Pantry, the only admission charge. Like George Bailey and the Bailey Savings and Loan, Dennis Markaverich and his Town Hall Theater have always put people first, before financial gain. In a theater completely filled to capacity, we all watched George Bailey come to realize what is important in life. The crowd rang bells when Clarence got his wings, and the whole theater erupted with cheers and applause! Donna Reed, Jimmy Stewart and Dennis Markaverich had done it again – reminded us of how fortunate we are to live in a community where people take care of each other. We all left the theater to the sounds of the Town Hall chimes and the exquisite sight of 200 luminaria candles lining both sides of Main Street. Thank-you to Dennis, thank-you to those who created the luminarias and thank-you to those who came to fill the Open Cupboard Pantry shelves to overflowing!

Peace to all.
