Vote Martin, Chandley, McGhee, Pignatelli

By Denise Clark - Milford | Oct 28, 2018

Will you vote on Nov. 6? Who gets your support, and why?

I support Joelle Martin, Milford’s current House Representative member. Here’s why:

Joelle listens to us, her constituents, and responds promptly to our concerns. In Concord, she works collaboratively to develop cost-effective solutions to fiscal decisions, and supports policies that foster small business growth and more equitable solutions to local property tax relief. And she is committed to our children – she serves on the New Hampshire House Ways & Means Committee and on the steering committee of the Legislative Children’s Caucus. Here in Milford, she is on the steering committee of the Community Action for Safe Teens, and she is a board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley. For more information about Joelle, visit her website, joelle4milford.com.

I support Shannon Chandley, a three-term House if Representative member now running for state Senator, District 11 (Amherst, Merrimack, Milford, Wilton), and here’s why:

Shannon Chandley has a strong record of working across the aisle: two Republican former House of Representative members, Paul Spiess and Cynthia Dokmo, recently endorsed her in this race. Shannon believes in investing in job training for New Hampshire residents, promoting policies that attract and retain young families to New Hampshire, and preventing the downshifting of costs that force towns to raise property taxes.

Shannon is the ranking Democrat on the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee. She is currently a director on the board of the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence.

I support Kat McGhee, running for House of Representative for District 40 (Hollis, Milford, Mont Vernon, New Boston). Here’s why:

Kat promises to be responsible with our tax money, and practical by being bipartisan and working across the aisle. Kat believes in creating a future-focused economy that makes workers and families a high priority.

Kat also si concerned about the undue influence in the New Hampshire Legislature from outside interests with agendas that do not reflect the concerns of New Hampshire’s citizens. These organizations, funded by wealthy donors such as the Koch brothers, are spending large amounts of money to push national bills that serve their sponsors, not us. I support Deb Pignatelli, running for Executive Councilor, District 5, which represents most of Hillsborough County. Here’s why:

Deb Pignatelli is a pragmatic, moderate problem-solver, with eight years of previous experience on the Executive Council. She has been a member of the House of Representative, and a state senator. While in Concord, she sponsored and advocated for legislative initiatives increasing funding for education, returning state surplus money to communities for property tax relief, establishing anti-stalking laws, funding statewide kindergarten, reforming campaign finance laws, enhancing environmental protection and increasing the age for child passenger seat belts from 12 years to 18 years.

Deb Pignatelli has served as the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, chair of the Senate Transportation Committee, vice chair of the Senate Environment Committee and as a member of other Senate committees, including Capital Budget, Health and Human Services, Wildlife and Recreation and Economic Development.

Deb has the interests and well-being of New Hampshire citizens at heart. For more information about Deb Pignatelli, visit debpignatelli.com

Please consider who will best represent you here in New Hampshire. Vote your conscience on Nov. 6.
