Best representation

By The Bedford Democratic Committee: Shana Potvin, Chair; Katy Cutshall, Vice Chair; Jane Boyer, Treasurer Teresa McInerny, Secreta - | Oct 28, 2018

We are writing to urge you to vote in this year’s election. This midterm election includes a number of electoral races that will directly impact you and your family.

Friedman, Goldner, Hanauer, Mullen, Nash, Rombeau and Verdrager Leshner are Bedford’s best candidates for state representatives in Districts 7 and 41. Unlike many of our current representatives, they will support legislation to:

Maintain or increase state funding for our public schools, instead of the voucher programs endorsed by current representatives that would take money away from Bedford schools and could increase local property taxes.

Support our environment, including water quality and energy-saving initiatives, like the geothermal energy project installed at the library, that would keep Bedford a healthy and desirable place to live and work while saving taxpayer dollars.

Ensure access to affordable health care in New Hampshire, including programs to combat the opioid epidemic.

Promote public safety while protecting individual rights.

Please visit our website www.bedford.nhdems.org for bios on each of the seven candidates. With a track record of active engagement in the Bedford community and a wealth of professional skills and knowledge, these candidates will work diligently to protect the best interests of Bedford’s residents. It’s time that the voters in Bedford have representatives who will work collaboratively with others, regardless of party, to bring new, innovative ideas to Concord and proactively solve the problems that face our community and New Hampshire.

Let’s elect state representatives who will represent Bedford’s best interests. Join us in voting for Friedman, Goldner, Hanauer, Mullen, Nash, Rombeau and Verdrager Leshner for State Representatives in Districts 7 and 41 on Nov. 6.
