A candidate with honesty and integrity

By Paul Cunningham, Ph.D. - Milford | Feb 25, 2018

Honesty and integrity. Suzanne Fournier has both. Fournier, a 32-year resident of Milford, is running to serve on the Board of Selectmen.

She has a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. Being trained in organizational development, Fournier knows what it takes to support organizations, such as Milford’s Board of Selectmen, so they can fulfill their mission with fairness to all and transparency in a financially responsible way that best helps the public that they serve.

She is quite knowledgeable about how the town and the Board of Selectmen function, having actively interacted with the BOS, town staff and numerous other boards over the past six years and having served in the past on the Recycling Committee and Board of Friends of Wadleigh Memorial Library.

She is more than a “one issue” candidate. She is attentive to the town’s needs, whether it be well-kept buildings (e.g., fire department, library, town hall), sidewalks, roads and bridges or social events that build community identity and pride like the Summer Band Concerts, Parades and our renowned Pumpkin Festival.

She highly values the people who work for the town and supports policies that improve the quality of life of Milford residents, including recycling, clean air and clean water, open space for outdoor recreation, conservation of natural resources and quality education in our schools.

She is passionate about her projects, as anyone who knows her well will testify. She will work hard for you. I hope you’ll join me in voting for Suzanne Fournier for Selectwoman of the town of Milford. Thank you.
