We all need to be educated about abuse
Thank you for printing the article about the domestic abuse struggles and eventual triumphs of Jo Fonda and her family (“14 years later,” April 7). As her daughter’s Brownie leader at the time, I was always impressed with Jo’s intelligence and her fortitude after such a shocking event. How inspiring that she volunteers to help others now with the New Hampshire Domestic Violence Coalition. We all need to be educated how to spot the signs and how to help our neighbors. I was so happy to read that my daughter’s childhood friend and my Brownie Scout will be graduating from college and getting married soon. Your community cares so very much that your lives be peaceful ones.
