Ayotte seems willing to get something done

By Staff | Mar 14, 2013

As a member of New Hampshire’s small-business community, I am constantly asking myself whether it’s the right time to make an investment, either in new equipment or in a new hire.

But with our leaders in Washington lurching from one manufactured fiscal crisis to the next, they’re not offering us small-businessmen and women the policy certainty or economic stability we need to make such a risk.

At a time when Washington is paralyzed, Sen. Kelly Ayotte is showing a real desire to get something big done for the country – an agreement to end (at least for now) the constant bickering over taxing and spending that is holding back businesses like mine.

Sen. Ayotte certainly appears willing to cut through the finger-pointing and name-calling in Washington, and actually work with Democrats to constructively discuss entitlement reform, tax reform and spending reductions.

As long as Sen. Ayotte shows that she wants to be a constructive voice in this debate, I – and my fellow members of the New Hampshire chapter of the Campaign to Fix the Debt – will continue to back her.
