Disagrees with PolitiFact finding

Letter to the Editor

An increase of 6 percent in five months isn’t exactly skyrocketing? (PolitiFact, The Telegraph, July 27) That’s over 12 percent per year. I’ll take that small, insignificant, not exactly skyrocketing increase in my profits (I’m a small business owner). Then I’ll smile and agree with you all the way to the bank. You guys have lost touch with reality. I can’t increase my prices on anything. All my customers want discounts and you think an increase in gas prices of more than 12 percent isn’t skyrocketing. Well, then, let’s just increase all our expenses by 12 percent and everyone but consumers will be happy. I know I will and, after all, its not exactly skyrocketing.

Has anyone gotten a not exactly “skyrocketing “ increase of 12 percent in their paychecks this year? If so, lucky you. Yes prices fluctuate but gas has skyrocketed. ...
