Horn article missing reason to vote Republican

Letter to the Editor

As a registered independent who has voted for candidates on both sides of the aisle, I have no ax to grind. But, it seems to me that Monday’s guest commentary written by state Republican Party Chairman Jennifer Horn, which stated that all the promises made by Sen. Jeanne Shaheen were not kept, sounds like the same promises made by most candidates in both parties.

It is impossible for any one legislator to keep promises made if they don’t have enough colleagues to vote with them. This has been one of the most do-nothing Congresses in my lifetime. What a sad commentary on the U.S. ...

I would have preferred Ms. Horn to have told me the positive reasons why I should vote for GOP candidates, instead of all the negatives she listed about Sen. Shaheen. There was nothing she said that would make me want to vote for the GOP at this time. Perhaps that is because their promises would sound the same.
