Richard M. DiPietro
Richard M. DiPietro 61, of Lake City, Florida, formerly of Nashua, N.H. passed away peacefully from complications of Crohn’s disease.
He was born on July 3, 1950, a son of the late Frank and Germaine DiPietro. Richard graduated from Nashua High School in 1969, joined the Army where he honed his skills as a helicopter mechanic while stationed in Korea. While living in Nashua he was an active member of the VFW of New Hampshire. During his membership, he gave generously of his time to promote and coordinate many successful events for the benefit of veterans.
He will be remembered for being the original “Mr. Clean”, his creative talent decorating during the holidays, handyman skills, and smile that would light up a room.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela (Stephens), daughter and son-in-law Angelica and Paul Scannell of Nashua, son Richard DiPietro of Scottsdale, Arizona and a stepdaughter, Kim Keclik of Edgewater, Florida. Four sisters and brother-in-law, Elaine and Robert Leys of Maine and Punta Gorda, Florida, Viola and James Grondin of Nashua, Gloria Dobens of Nashua, and Dolores and Donald Soucy of Hudson and Punta Gorda, Florida. Two brothers and sisters-in-law Frank and Karen DiPietro of Merrimack and Anthony and Cynthia DiPietro of Nashua. One grandson, Samuel Scannell of Nashua and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his first wife, Laura Batchelder, his brother John DiPietro and his friend and beloved brother-in-law John C. Dobens.
There are no calling hours. A private memorial service will be held at St. Patrick’s cemetery at the convenience of the family.
