Kathy J. Hinrichs

Kathy J. Hinrichs, 52, of Pako Avenue, Keene, NH, died unexpectedly, Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth Hitchcock, Keene.

She was born in Nashua, NH, March 18, 1960, the daughter of Nancy (Abbott) and Paul B. Gibson, Jr. She grew up in Hudson, NH and was a 1978 graduate of Alvirne High School in Hudson.

Mrs. Hinrichs received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Franklin Pierce University. She worked as an accountant for four years with the Keene Day Care and also, at the time of her death, she was an accountant with New Chapter, Inc. of Brattleboro, Vermont, where she had worked for the past two years.

She enjoyed the ocean and lighthouses. She also enjoyed crocheting. She was an avid Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins fan. Spending time with her family was the most important aspect of her life. She also spent a great deal of time tracing her family history, putting together her family genealogy.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Mark H. Hinrichs, whom she married in Hudson, NH on August 16, 1980, a son, Tyson P. Hinrichs, and a daughter, Kristen L. Hinrichs, both of Keene, two grandchildren; Landon M. Hinrichs and Aluna Velasquez, both of Keene, her mother, Nancy Gibson of Hudson, three brothers; Dana W. Gibson of Alstead, NH, David W. Gibson and his wife, Tami, of Charleston, SC, Glenn L. Gibson and his wife, Melinda, of Lancaster, NY, a brother-in-law, Joe Hensley of Mississippi, a sister-in-law, Billie Faye King of Raleigh, NC, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father in 1991.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church of Keene, 105 Maple Avenue, Keene. Burial will be private. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Foley Funeral Home (www.foleyfuneralhome.com), 49 Court Street, Keene.
