Paul N. Berthiaume
Paul N. Berthiaume, 76, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, in Miami, Florida. He was born on July 10, 1935, in Nashua, son of Arthur and Leocadie (Masse) Berthiaume.
He was educated in the Nashua school system.
Throughout his life, Paul was involved with many types of businesses; some his own. Most recently, Paul was a cafe manager for Jewish Community Services at the Point East residential development where he served meals daily to the elderly residents.
He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Parish in Miami Shores, Florida. He was also a former member and Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 122.
Paul took immense pride and enjoyment in anything he was asked to undertake and found great joy in simply helping others be it assisting seniors at the cafe or delivering meals to, or running errands for, those in need. And, to his family and the many friends he has and helped this is how he will be remembered.
He was predeceased by three siblings, Camille Berthiaume, Theresa (Berthiaume) Gagnon, and Rita (Berthiaume) Paradise.
He is survived by his wife, Claire; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia Berthiaume, Brenda Lavoie and her husband Timothy, and Lisa Lavoie and her husband David; three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and his wife Karen, David and his wife Doreen, and Paul and his wife Ann; a sister, Estelle Berthiaume; thirteen grandchildren, Michael Bocchiaro, Kimberly Bocchiaro, Diandre Berthiaume, Adria Berthiaume, Matthew Berthiaume, Eric Berthiaume, Elizabeth Berthiaume, Brian Berthiaume, Jonathan Lavoie & his wife, Ashley, Corinne Lavoie, Katherine Lavoie, Tyler Lavoie, Heather Lavoie; a great-grandchild, Corey Lavoie; a sister-in-law, Doris Berthiaume, a brother-in-law, Norman Constant; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and cousins; as well as many close and dear friends.
SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held from 6-8pm, Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Davis Funeral Home, One Lock Street, Nashua. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 3, 2012, 9am, at the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad Street in Nashua. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Nashua.
