Kenneth F. Trott
Kenneth F. Trott, 83, of Merrimack, NH, died at home April 15 surrounded by his wife and 3 daughters after a period of declining health.
Born in Lowell, MA to George and Mary (Hansbury) Trott, the youngest of eight children, he enlisted in the army at 17, served 3 years then received his degree in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University. In 1951, he married Eugenie (Vaillancourt) Trott. They settled in Lawrence, MA, built the first of three homes and raised 3 daughters.
Kenneth worked at Carr Fastener Corp. as the Quality Control Engineer then relocated to Barnard, VT to become Products Engineer at GW Plastics, where he developed a model quality control program. He was active in the American Society of Quality Control, and later lectured extensively on his 3 matrix model. Upon retirement, he was a starter for the Quechee Country Club. In 2005, he moved to Merrimack, NH and wintered at the Villas of Hobe Sound, FL. He and his beloved “Jennie” recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Eugenie Trott, three daughters, Jeanne Trott and husband, Jack Walsh of Manchester, NH; Karen Trott and husband, Peter Herdrich of New York, NY; Donna Shoemaker and husband, Carl Shoemaker of Merrimack, NH; and 6 grandchildren, Bradley Shoemaker, Madeline Walsh, Lauren Shoemaker, Chelsea Shoemaker, Anna Trott Herdrich and Wen Trott Herdrich.
Calling hours will be at Rivet Funeral Home, 425 D.W. Highway, Merrimack, on Wednesday April 18 from 5-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Neumann, 708 Milford Rd, Merrimack, on Thursday April 19 at 10 am. Burial will follow, with full military honors, at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway Route 3, Boscawen, at 2 pm.
