David Sefton Wright

David Sefton Wright, 75, of Nashua and a longtime Hollis resident, died early Tuesday morning, February 7, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, after a brief illness.

A son of the late Wendell C. and Carolyn (Sefton) Wright, he was born in Nashua on September 5, 1936. Educated in Hollis schools, David was a graduate of Hollis High School, Class of 1954 and the University of New Hampshire where he was a member of the Sigma Beta Fraternity.

Mr. Wright was a wholesale buyer in the nursery business for many years. The majority of his career was spent with Gold Star Wholesale Nursery. He was a volunteer firefighter and Deputy Chief of the Hollis Fire Department.

David was an avid reader and enjoyed debating the current events of the world. His favorite sports were skiing, snowmobiling and navigating on the helm of his boat, “The Wright One.”

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his former wives, Pamela Freeman Wright; and Barbara Wright Cudworth, the mother of his daughters, who died in September 2011; and a nephew, Eric Wright.

Members of his family include his two daughters, Lisa and Susan Wright of Hollis and his brother, Richard S. Wright; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Beaulieu and his wife Elena, Jared Beaulieu, Jennifer Beaulieu and Jessica Haggard and her husband Scott; seven great-grandchildren and a nephew, Dustin Wright and his wife Kate; three step-children, Joanne Gallagher, Jacqui Gallagher and Jay Gallagher and his wife Wanda; also six step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild; and several cousins.

SERVICES: There are no calling hours. The family is planning a Graveside Service at East Cemetery in Hollis in the Spring. The date and time will be announced.
