James S. ‘Red’ Skowron
James S. “Red” Skowron, 53, of Brookline, NH, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, surrounded by family, his best friend Aaron Ward and his dog “Curly” after a period of declining health.
James was born in Dover, NH on December 27, 1957, son of Anthony T. Skowron of Nashua and the late Faith L. Skowron, who passed away on July 8, 2011. After moving to California in the early 1960’s with his parents, James attended schools in The Simi Valley. He lived and worked in the area for more than 25 years.
When his parents moved back to New Hampshire in 1989, James also returned to New Hampshire in 1990 and has made his home in Brookline.
He worked at various jobs before a severe back injury left him disabled.“Red” loved sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots. His 4th of July barbeques for family and friends will never be forgotten, especially the Fireworks.
Red loved his dog “Curly” dearly as they rode together in his truck everywhere.
He also had some feline friends that took up residence and loved them too.
Besides his father, Anthony T. Skowron of Nashua; members of the family include his sisters, Sharon Carey and Angela Skowron both of Nashua; his nephews, Mike Carey of Palmdale, CA, David Carey of Las Vegas, NV, Daniel Carey Skowron of Milford, NH, Dakota Carey of Brookline, NH and Christopher Carey of Nashua; and his son, Derek Skowron of California.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. Following cremation, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Christopher Church, 62 Manchester Street, Nashua, Tuesday, December 27th at 10 a.m. Friends are invited to attend. Donations may be made in his memory to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH 03064.
