Mary C. Lepore
Mary C. Lepore, 86, of Litchfield, NH, widow of Walter M. Lepore, and formerly of Billerica, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Monday evening, October 3, 2011 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua.
A resident of Litchfield since 2005, Mrs. Lepore was born in Wakefield, Massachusetts on December 8, 1924, a daughter of the late James and Clara (Grenier) Foley. She was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1942.
Mary and her husband were married on December 21, 1957 and they made their home in Billerica, MA for many years. Mrs. Lepore was a homemaker and had also been employed as a tax examiner with the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, MA for a number of years.
In her leisure time, Mary enjoyed many interests including reading, square dancing, Irish music, painting, gardening and shopping. She especially loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren, of whom she was very proud.
Mary was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Walter M. Lepore who died January 13, 1997; and her five brothers, James, Philip, Edgar, Alfred and Edward Foley.
Surviving members of her family include: three sons, twins Alan P. Lepore and his wife Gayle, of Liverpool, NY and Bruce E. Lepore and his wife Nina, of Pelham, NH and Mark W. Lepore and his wife Janine of Litchfield; six grandchildren, Curtis, Michal, Andrew, Ellen, Christina and Matthew Lepore; a sister, Shirley Foley of Andover, MA; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. Her funeral service will be held in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1 Sterling Road in Litchfield, NH, Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to gather at the church. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in East Chelmsford, MA. Donations may be made in her memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115.
