Susan “Sue” Hineman Bakaian

Susan “Sue” Hineman Bakaian, 59, of Litchfield, died Wednesday September 21, 2011 from complications after surgery for a brain tumor. She was born in North Kingston, RI to the late E. Raymond and Phyllis (Popinski) Hineman.

Sue graduated from Milford Area High school in Milford, NH in 1970. She received her BS in Education from Keene State College in May of 1974 and her MA in Special Education from Fitchburg State. Sue was a longtime educator in the Special Education Department at Pennichuck Junior High School in Nashua until her retirement in June of 2010. She was an avid golfer and an avid gardener.

She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Keith Bakaian of Litchfield, three sisters Kathi Jordan and her husband William of Amherst, NH, Carol Robbins and her husband Gerald of Wendell, NC, Mona Lepine and her husband Dennis of Litchfield, one brother Alan Hineman and his wife Lisa of Amherst, NH. She is also survived by four nephews Brad Deveau and his wife Sarah of Shirley, MA, Matthew Robbins and his wife Valerie of Raleigh, NC, Christopher Lepine and Andrew Lepine both of Litchfield, one niece Megan Mitchell and her husband CJ of Knightdale, NC.

Visiting Hours will be held on Monday September 26th from 4pm-7pm in THE DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST. IN HUDSON. Following cremation, burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made in Sue’s loving memory to the Concord Regional VNA Hospice House, 30 Pillsbury St., Concord, NH 03301.
