Leon W. Pomerleau
Leon (Leo) W. Pomerleau, 85 years old, born Feb. 22, 1924 to Estella and Lewis Pomerleau of Lawrence, Mass. He left to be with the Lord on Jan. 22, 2010, in New Port Richey, Fla. following a brief illness.
He is survived by the love of his life of 63 years, his wife, Doris (Dolly) Forrence Pomerleau. He is also survived by his son Leonard and wife Nicole, his daughter Debra and her husband Ronald Belhumeur. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren Jeffery Pomerleau, Curtis and his wife Kristin Pomerleau, William Watson and his wife Rebecca, Jesi Watson, and 5 great-grandchildren that he was also pepere to, Michael, Holly, Devan, Riley, and Owen. He is also survived by a sister Dorothy LaPorte, of Boyton Beach Fla. and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his brothers Edward, Raymond, and Earl Pomerleau.
He served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from Process Engineering after 28 years in service. He built a home for his family in Nashua and a summer cottage on Cow Island, Lake Winnipesaukee where they vacationed for over 40 years.
They resided in New Port Richey Fla. during the winter months and in Nashua NH in the summer where he had many friends in both locations. He was known for his outgoing personality along with his positive outlook. His hobbies were dancing, playing cards, and his favorite activity shooting pool. He will definitely be missed by all who knew him.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis de Gonzague church 48 W. Hollis St. Nashua NH on June 5th at 10:00 am. Burial will be held at a later date.
