Lorraine M. Lessard

Lorraine M. Lessard, 87, died on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at her home in Waterboro, Maine surrounded by her family. She was born on August 15, 1931 in Chelmsford, MA, daughter of the late Henry and Rena (Bellmore) L’Heureux.

She was the wife of the late Lionel Lessard who died in May of 1993.

Lorraine lived in Waterboro, Maine for the past year and a half, having previously lived many years in Nashua, NH. During her time in New Hampshire she worked as a cashier at 7-Eleven and at one time worked at Centronics in Nashua as well. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Parish in Nashua for 23 years.

She very much enjoyed life. In her free-time she enjoyed traveling, especially to the ocean, and was an avid card player. Now she is in heaven with the loved ones that have been there waiting for her.

Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Robert H. Lessard and Lionel Lessard; a grandson, Danny Lessard; two brothers, Dennis Lessard and Roland L’Heureux; two sisters, Claire Dominique and Carmen Dearborn.

She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Emily Griffin and husband John of Waterboro, ME, and Anne Marie Long and husband Ray of Manchester; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rita Terrell of Hudson, Jeanne Brown of Hudson; a brother, Henry L’Heureux. Jr of Dracut; and two daughters-in-law, Annette Lessard and Maureen Lessard; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

SERVICES: There will be no formal services at this time. Those who wish may make a memorial contribution to in Lorraine’s name are asked to consider Campassus Hospice, 163 US Route 1, Scarborough, ME 04074.
