Rosemary (Bushong) Shawver

Rosemary (Bushong) Shawver, 83, of 5 Mountainview Road, Pelham, NH passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family in the early morning of May 13, 2019 at the Southern NH Regional Medical Center in Nashua after a brief illness.

Rosemary was pre-deceased by her husband Kenneth, and is survived by her son Steven Shawver of Bedford, his wife Terri, children Nicole and her husband Nicholas Rutherford, Cassandra and Hannah Shawver, and great grandchild Charles Rutherford; Daughter Kathy Shawver of Brookline, MA and her children Michael Friedman, and Kara and her husband Jeff Smith, and great grandchild Ellia Smith; son Douglas Shawver of Pelham, his wife Suzanne and children Colby and Camryn Shawver; and daughter Nancy LaPolice of Pelham, her husband Peter, and children James and Rachael LaPolice.

Rosemary was born February 1, 1936 in Kenton, Ohio, daughter of Floyd and Dorena Bushong, the second youngest of 11 siblings. She and Kenneth Shawver married in Kenton, Ohio in 1957, and together they shared a passion for piloting their Cessna airplane. In a series of moves the family headed east, settling in Nashua, NH in 1967. Rosemary was very active in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives, supporting their athletic and scholastic activities with great fervor. After raising her family, Rosemary worked as a teacher’s aide at Birch Hill Elementary School and worked in the Human Resources Department at Sanders/Lockheed Martin in Nashua. She had a passion for life, her family, competition, and a good game of bridge. She had an enormous sense of adventure and enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Rosemary’s exceptional energy and outgoing, fun personality enriched the lives of those she touched. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends and family are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday May 16th 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua NH. Burial will be at the DeGraff, Ohio Cemetery.
