David Phillip Cohen

David Phillip Cohen passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Born on May 12, 1954, he was the devoted son of Alfred M. Cohen II and the late Frances (Lovett) Cohen.

David was a remarkable son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He grew up in the Cincinnati suburb of Amberley and studied at Walnut Hills High School and the Cushing Academy. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in social work.

During his childhood summers, David attended Camp Golden Eagle of Woodruff, Wisconsin, where he made life-long friends.

David married his high school sweetheart, Sallie, and raised two children in the Cincinnati suburbs while working for Cincinnati Sub Zero for 23 years as a technical salesman.

David was a supportive and loyal man known for his gentle demeanor and unconditional love. He had a love of family, golf, travel, science fiction and music. He volunteered his time in a number of positions including Treasurer of the Friends of Symphony NH .

David is survived by his father, Alfred Cohen of Cincinnati, Ohio; wife, Sallie Cohen of Nashua, New Hampshire; son, Daniel Cohen of Denver, Colorado; daughter, Elizabeth Cohen Ponder, of Beaufort, North Carolina; grandchildren Jacob and Leah Ponder of Beaufort, North Carolina; and sister, Kathy Woodson of Cincinnati, Ohio; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 10 at 3:30 PM at his home in Nashua NH. A second memorial service will be held on Friday, March 1 in Naples, Florida at the Wyndemere County Club (time TBD). Please contact Dan Cohen for additional information at 513-335-0224.
