Richard (Dick) Ledoux
Richard (Dick) Robert Ledoux, age 71, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2018, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH, after a long battle with health complications.
He was a beloved husband, father, pepere, brother, uncle and friend. Dick was born in Nashua, NH, on August 1, 1947; the second of five sons of Leo and Francis Ledoux.
He attended Nashua public schools and was a multi-talented and star athlete, setting and breaking records in baseball and track, and later earning accolades in diving. After graduating from Nashua High School in 1965, Dick joined the United States Air Force. Dick proudly served his country as an Air Force Policeman in Germany, Turkey and Guam, before meeting and marrying his “sugar bear”, Marilyn, and settling back in Nashua to raise his family and start what would become a 42 year career at Bronze Craft Corporation.
Dick was a devoted communicant and sexton of Christ the King Lutheran Church for 35 years. He was also an avid gardener, creative writer, reader and a fervent New England professional sports enthusiast. When he was not at Christ the King, worshiping, cleaning or lending a hand, Dick could be found tending his garden in Hollis, spending time with his friends and loved ones, especially his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, playing cribbage or throwing darts.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Marilyn, his three sons, Kevin (wife Beth) of Seattle, WA, Casey of Port St. Lucie, FL and Chad (wife Tarrah) of Nashua, three grandchildren, Amelia (8), Lily (7) and Edward (3), brothers Dan and Neil (wife Patty) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents, and brothers Jim and Peter Ledoux.
