Joseph Dagan, age 80, beloved husband of Cynthia Lappe Dagan, cherished father of Tal and his wife Amy, Samuel and his wife Lisa and Ari and his wife Kelley and dear grandfather of Zachary, Matthew, Joshua and Jacob, passed away peacefully at Southern NH Medical Center on December 3, 2018. Joseph loved his family and was very proud of their achievements.

Joseph is also survived by his family in Israel, his sisters Yassa Levi and Esther Pushtevan of Tel Aviv and Sara Yamini of Moshav Neve Yamin and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in Iraq on February 28, 1938 while his family was escaping Eastward from the Nazi regime, he finally was able to immigrate to Israel shortly after its independence. As a young boy, he grew up at Kibbutz Ayelet Hashachar until age 16 when he returned home to help his family in Moshav Neve Yamin. He graduated High school at Kfar Saba, Israel.

After working several years in agriculture, Joseph represented the Israeli government in East Africa in helping Malawi, Kenya and Ethiopia to grow coffee and cotton. He married Cynthia in Israel in 1970 and came to the United States in 1971. He was extremely proud to be an American Citizen of Israeli descent. His love for Judaism and Israeli heritage was the essence of his being. In addition to that, he was also close to nature, taking great pleasure in all living things.

Joseph established the Carpet Center in Nashua in 1972 and became a prominent businessman in the area. Over the years he developed many lasting relationships with his customers and business associates throughout the area. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.
