Faunda Yvette Peters

Faunda Yvette Peters, 62 of Nashua, transitioned on Monday September 3, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, after a valiant fight with Multiple Sclerosis for over thirty-one years.

She was born on March 18, 1956 in Jones Land, Black Rock, St. Michael, Barbados, to the late Washington Alphonso and Wavnie Edwina Thompson nee Prescott. The first of three children, she was pre-deceased by her brother, Roger and is survived by her baby brother Henderson. She had her formative schooling at the Deacons Primary School, before migrating to the United States in August 1967 to live, and continue her schooling with her uncle and aunt Glyne and Doris Thompson, and help in the raising of cousin Brian Thompson. Her beloved uncle Glyne and Cousin Brian sadly predeceased her.

At one time, Faunda worked at Tranti Systems as an assembler in Billerica, MA.

She was an avid viewer of the Food Network Channel. She loved to sing and worship God, and was a member of the New England Pentecostal Ministries.

Faunda is survived by: her devoted husband, Daniel Gilberto Peters, her loving son, Daniel James Peters, caring daughter, Jessica Marie Peters, all of Nashua; her sorrowing brother, Henderson Thompson, of Barbados, three cousins, Andrea Thompson, of Delaware, Sharyl Thompson, of Lowell, MA and Stacey Thompson, also of Lowell, MA; three god-children, Elizabeth Sophos, of Hudson, Johnathan Sophos, of Merrimack and Rebekah Davis, of Texas.

Faunda also leaves to mourn many aunts, cousins, relatives and friends too numerous to mention in Barbados, Canada, The United Kingdom, North Carolina, New York and New Jersey.

On behalf of her husband Daniel, son Daniel Jr, daughter Jessica, and all of her grieving relatives and friends, I wish to thank Davis Funeral Home and all of you for your prayers, your expressions of sympathy, your kind words, and your caring gestures at this time of our family’s bereavement. They are much appreciated and your words and gestures will continue to add some measure of comfort in the trying days ahead of us.
