Alice Brackett, 97, died peacefully Saturday, August 4, 2018 at The Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Jaffrey, NH.
Alice was born on April 18, 1921, daughter of the late Albert and Ethel (Whittemore) Hubley.
She spent her childhood years in Amherst and Mont Vernon. In her later years she lived in Nashua where she raised her four children and worked for Sprague Electric for 35 years.
Following her retirement, Alice was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and in her free time she enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, camping, the ocean and gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Brackett. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons, George and Kenneth Roby and her daughter, Evelyn (Roby) Simard.
Alice leaves behind her daughter Erlene Brayall and her husband Bud Taylor of Jaffrey, NH; thirteen grandchildren, four great- grandchildren, thirteen great great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her late husband Frederick Brackett’s extended family.
SERVICES: A Celebration of Alice’s Life will be held at the DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock St., Nashua on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to attend. Interment prayers and burial will follow at Edgewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial donation to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua or Home Health and Hospice Care Community Services.
