Anne Marie (MacNeil) Hansen

Anne Marie (MacNeil) Hansen, 85, died at home in Merrimack on February 4, 2018 surrounded by her large and loving family. She was born on October 7, 1932 in Dorchester, Massachusetts to Anthony and Dorothy MacNeil.

Anne was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Robert Hansen Sr., her brothers George MacNeil, Gerald MacNeil, and Larry MacNeil, and a sister Betty DeLando, all from Massachusetts. She is survived by her children Robert Hansen Jr. and wife Donna of Merrimack, Ronald Hansen and wife Lynn of Merrimack, Geni McLaurin and husband Bill of Amherst, and Anne Marie Williamson and husband Rick of Manchester. She had 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Anne lived in Dorchester until moving to Merrimack in 1955. She worked for many years at the Merrimack High School in their lunch program. Teachers and students alike knew her as Grammy Anne.

Anne and Bob had a cottage on Baboosic Lake in Merrimack and hosted many happy family occasions there – always plenty of food and good times which will long be remembered. They retired to Citrus Park in Bonita Springs, Florida, where they enjoyed 10 years together.

There will be no visiting hours. Burial will take place at the family’s convenience. The family would like to thank the Merrimack Home Health and Hospice organization for their compassionate care during Anne’s last weeks.
