Richard ‘Dick’ Livingstone

February 21, 1925-November 1, 2017

Jan 28, 2018

Richard “Dick” Livingstone, 92, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2017 in Portland, Oregon. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, he was a long-time resident of Nashua, New Hampshire prior to relocating to sunny Florida in 1976, followed by over two decades in California, then moving to Oregon to be near family in 2012.

Dick married his beloved, Jane E. Blackie, in 1947 and were the proud parents of five children; the late Richard, Jr. (d. 1989), Pamela Delgado, Beth Foisy, Lisa Livingstone, and Amy Livingstone; granddaughter Erin Gant; and two great-grandchildren Jackson and Spencer. After Jane’s sudden death in 1990, Dick enjoyed a second marriage to Donna Dorly until his death. A World War II Navy veteran, Dick spent the Korean war in the Arctic on the historic USS Burton Island.

Although Dick had a rewarding career in sales before he retired, he will be most remembered for his love of golf, fishing, a good scotch, and a man who never met a stranger. A committed athlete since his youth, he was blessed with a long and adventurous life. Dick will be missed by his family and all those who knew him and his passion for life.

A private burial will be held at Beaverdale Memorial Cemetery in Hamden, CT in 2018.
