Richard L. Boisvert Sr.

NASHUA, NH – Richard L. Boisvert, Sr., 69, fondly known as ‘Bov’, ‘Dickie’, ‘Bantaman’, and ‘Pepere’, of Nashua, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Nashua as a result of injuries sustained from a falling accident at his residence.

He was married to Madeleine B. (Pinard) Boisvert with whom he celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this year.

A son of the late Raymond and the late Mary (O’Keefe) Boisvert, he was born August 28, 1948, in Lowell, attended the former St. Peter’s Grammar School, and Lowell High School.

He worked as a truck driver for most of his life at various companies including the former R. Rosenbloom Paper Co., Inc, the former E.A. Wilson Concrete Co., J.G. MacLellan Concrete Co. of Lowell and most prior to his retirement, Tulley Automotive, Nashua, New Hampshire. He also previously worked as a bartender at the Knickerbocker Club of Lowell, the Lowell Lodge of Elks, and the Irish American Club of Billerica.

Richard was a member of the B.P.O.E. Lowell Lodge of Elks #87 having served as a past exalted ruler, and several committees through the years, as well as a was a former member of the Knickerbocker Club of Lowell.

He enjoyed the New England Patriots, traveling, but being the boss as he was to the end. He did it his way, and was known as calling everyone ‘a pain in the ass’ and will be greatly missed by everyone.

Besides his loving wife, Madeleine, he is survived by one daughter, Michelle Boisvert and her lifelong partner, Marc E. Ariz of Nashua, NH; a son, Richard L. Boisvert, Jr., and his wife, Jennifer (Sousa) of Lowell; eight grandchildren, Marc Richard Ariz, Danielle Taylor, Devin, Samantha and Emily Sousa, Meghan and Molly Gray, and Aaliyah Boisvert; a brother, Raymond A. Boisvert, Jr, and his wife, Joyce (O’Brien) Boisvert; a God daughter, Kristina Boisvert of Lowell and a God son, Jamie O’Keefe of Lamoine, Maine; Five brothers in law and their families, aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as several very close lifelong friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Connie Ashton and a niece, Kelly Ashton.
