George B. Hier

George B. Hier, 69, of Hudson, NH, passed away in Burlington, VT on Saturday, November 25. George was born on June 17, 1948 in Rutland, Vermont.

George honorably served our country during the Vietnam war in the US Army. He was a proud veteran. When he came home he settled in the Hudson area. He spent most of his professional life as an inventory control manager at Malden Mills. Family and friends we’re of the upmost importance to him. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing cards with friends.

George is survived by his son Andrew, his daughter-in-law Nicole, and grandson Theodore. He is also survived by Cecilia King, Charles King, Tim King, Glenda Rivers, Jane McMahon, Judy Pomykala, William Nadeau, David Nadeau, Pat Hout, Mark Nadeau and their spouses as well as many dear friends.

George was predeceased by his wife Suzanne Hier (Nadeau), a son, Michael and father-in-law, Gerard Nadeau.

Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, November 30th from 4 to 7 PM in the Dumont-Sullivan funeral home, 50 Ferry St., Hudson, NH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated the following morning at 10am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 27 Library St., Hudson. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Hudson.
