George M. McHugh Jr.

It is with great sadness that the family of George M. McHugh Jr. announces his passing on October 25th, 2017. George was born on December 6, 1940 in Ancon, Panama. He enjoyed 39 years of marriage with his loving wife, Claire B. McHugh. Prior to retirement, George worked as an electrical engineer where he supervised a team of 80 engineers at Boston Edison. He was instrumental in designing a nuclear power plant in Plymouth, Ma; and received the Nuclear Power Engineer Committee Award from IEEE for his prize winning paper in 1979. George loved his country and served as a 1st Lieutenant in the army. He enjoyed table tennis, games, sports, music, fishing, stamp collecting, and spending time with family and friends.
