Edward William Salesky

HUDSON, NH – Edward William Salesky, “Pa”, 91, died peacefully on October 23, 2017 in his Hudson, New Hampshire home. He was surrounded by his family and loved ones.  Ed was born on June 12, 1926, in Lowell, MA to Mary (Bagley) and William Salesky. He attended Lowell public schools.  

He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.  He worked at Davis & Furber Machine Company for 25 years as Northern Sales Manager and then at Foss Manufacturing as an Engineer. Ed was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, sharing his enthusiasm through mentorship and lifelong camaraderie with multiple generations of close friends. He enjoyed golf and was a member of Mount Pleasant Golf Club and was a founding member of Centralville Sportsman Club in Dracut. 

Loving husband, caring father, beloved grandfather, uncle, and friend, Ed is survived by his wife of forty years, Carol; his children Edward T. and wife Carol Beth of Texas; John D. and wife Nancy of Vermont and Florida; James P. and wife Charlene; Dody Roy and husband Edward; Shawn and wife Jennifer, and Brian and wife Kristen, all of New Hampshire, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

After a long and abundant life he has gone to join his parents, brother John, sister Virginia, and many of his hunting and fishing brothers in arms.

Following cremation, a time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 1st  from 4:00pm to 6:30pm, with a Service of Remembrance beginning at 6:30 PM, in theDUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST.
