Eleanor (Bigler) Paisner
Eleanor (Bigler) Paisner, 89, of Framingham, MA, formerly of Swampscott, MA, and New Hampshire, passed away peacefully onÃÂÃÂ Friday, May 19, 2017.ÃÂÃÂ Eleanor will be remembered as a mensch, and for her sense of humor, stylishness, and selflessness.ÃÂÃÂ She cared deeply for others and was accepting of everyone in her life.ÃÂÃÂ Through her actions, Eleanor taught all her children to meet life’s challenges straight on with resiliency and poise.
Eleanor was born in Chelsea, MA, on September 26, 1927, a daughter of the late Samuel and Sadie (Bloom) Bigler.ÃÂÃÂ She was the widow of Gerald Paisner, who died on March 17, 2001, and the sister of the late Lillian (Bigler) Smith.
She is remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.ÃÂÃÂ Eleanor is survived by her children, Gail and Monte Altman of Natick, MA, Elisa Paisner of Brooklyn, NY, Eliot and Leslie Paisner of Milton, NH, and Steven and Patricia Paisner of Leawood, KS; grandchildren, Jonathan and Emily Paisner, Michael and Alison Paisner, David Altman, Alyxandra Paisner, and Sydnee Paisner; and great grandchildren, Erica, Jacob, Stella, Lillian, and Samuel Paisner.
Eleanor worked for many years as a buyer and sales associate in a New Hampshire clothing store, and later in the dental office of her son and daughter-in-law.ÃÂÃÂ Throughout her life, she was very active in Hadassah, having been a lifelong member and chosen as Woman of the Year for the New England Region, and served annually as Co-Chair of the annual fundraising dinner.ÃÂÃÂ Eleanor was a dedicated member of the Dover and Nashua, NH, temple Sisterhoods, where she exhibited her creative and aesthetic talents.
SERVICES: A graveside funeral service will be held at Beth Abraham Cemetery, Nashua, NH, (428 West Hollis Street), onÃÂÃÂ Sunday, May 21, 2017, atÃÂÃÂ 2:00 PM.ÃÂÃÂ Memorial observance (shiva) will be held onÃÂÃÂ Sunday, May 21, 2017, at the home of Michael and Alison Paisner in Nashua, NH.ÃÂÃÂ Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation in Eleanor’s memory to Hadassah Northern New England Region, 320 Center Street, Suite 205, Newton, MA 02459 or Saint Patrick’s Manor, 863 Central Street, Framingham, MA 01710.
