Dorothy May (Place) Lockwood

March 29th 1930 - March 26th 2017

Dorothy Lockwood was born in Wayland, MA on March 29th 1930 and was a lifelong resident of Nashua, N.H. She passed away in Hospice care peacefully in her sleep on March 26th at the age of 86 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Dorothy was one of nine children pf John A.S. Place and Blanche (Collins) Place. She was predeceased by her sister and all her brothers except for her youngest brother, Bert Place of Cochituate, MA. Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Mike Lockwood of Berwick, ME, his wife and 3 grandchildren, and Mark Lockwood of Londonderry, N.H., his wife, 3 grandchildren as well as a great-granddaughter whom she sadly never got to meet dying just prior to the baby’s birth. Dorothy served her country in the Air Force before settling in Nashua and becoming a homemaker. She was remembered in a brief service in the Hollis, N.H. Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness by her friends and family.
