Linda (Cohen) Sidore

Linda (Cohen) Sidore, 75, of Hollis, passed away peacefully on April 27 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH, after a long illness. She was born on February 7, 1942 in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Harry and Caroline (Taber) Cohen.

She was the wife of Gene Sidore for over 52 years.

Linda had earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the Eliot-Pearson School of Tufts University. She worked as a teacher for the City of Providence, RI, for Arlington County, VA, and for the Manchester Community Music School (MCMS). For 32 years, she led the Triple-Treat program at MCMS, which was a program of Art, Music and Movement for 3, 4 and 5 year-olds. Linda was a member of Temple Beth-El in Providence, RI.

Along with her husband Gene, she was also survived by her sons, David Saul Sidore of Athens, GA, Michael John Sidore of Oakland, CA and Steven William Sidore of Koenigswinter, Germany; her brother Robert Lewis Cohen of Highland Park, IL; and grandsons Dante Sidore, Sebastian Sidore and Tillman Sidore of Koenigswinter, Germany, Benjamin Sidore of Athens, GA and Austin Sidore of Oakland, CA.

SERVICES: Funeral and Interment services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at the Manchester Hebrew Jewish Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held at Lawrence Barn Community Center, 28 Depot Road, Hollis, NH, on Tuesday, May 2 at 2:00 pm.
