David L. Bradford Sr.
David Lawrence Bradford, Sr., 85, of Nashua, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the Southern NH Medical Center in Nashua.
He was born on February 16, 1932 in Dorchester, MA, the son of the late Stephen and Alice (Tolman) Bradford. He was the husband of the late Rosalie Marie (Muzarol) Bradford who had passed on January 25, 1995.
David was a graduate of Hyde Park High School in Hyde Park, MA. After high school, David served in the US Navy and the US Air Force as a Military Police officer from 1950 to 1955 and was a veteran of the Korean War. Following his time in the service, he became a Massachusetts State Police Officer, then a Nashua Police Officer. After retiring from the police, David went on to work as the Director of Security for Stuarts Department Stores for 11 years and later Marshalls Department Stores for 15 years. Outside of work David enjoyed spending time motorcycle touring.
Along with his wife and parents, David was also predeceased by his grandson, David L. Bradford III, his sisters Priscilla MacPherson, Alice Bowman and Cynthia Reid and his brothers Stephen and William Bradford.
Fraternally, he was a Past Master of Rising Sun Lodge #39, F & AM in Nashua
He is survived by his children, Donna Marie Cardoso, Denise Marie Enman, Brenda Lee Landry and David Lawrence Bradford, Jr.; his grandchildren, Jennifer Snyder, Chadd Enman, Stephanie Cardoso, Tracey Bradford, Lauren Enman, Amanda Landry, Cody Enman and Noah Bradford; his great grandchildren, Zachary and Alexis Enman, Joshua and Rachel Snyder and Rayna Thompson; and his sister Lois Delany.
SERVICES: Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, One Lock Street, Nashua. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Davis Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashua. Family and friends are invited to attend.
