MSG Robert A. Guidaboni Sr., Ret.

MSG Robert A. Guidaboni Sr., Ret., 75, of Hampton, NH, and Tampa, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday June 7, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born in Taunton, MA, on April 30, 1941, a son of the late Caesar and Angelina (Chaves) Guidaboni. He was the loving husband of Joan (Ducey) Guidaboni for the past 23 years.

Robert honorably served our country for 20 years, serving in the U.S. Army Special Forces, with his final four years with Company A 2nd Battalion, 10th SFGA. Robert received the Bronze Star Medal, the Vietnam campaign Medal w/60 Device and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm. Following his military career, Robert was employed at Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH, until his retirement in 1999. He as a member of the Nashua Lodge of Elks, American Legion Post 273 and the VFW Post 4256. Robert enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and spending time with his family.

Besides his wife, Robert is survived by a daughter; Sandy Newell of Baltimore, MD; two sons, Robert Guidaboni Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Nashua and John Guidaboni and his wife, Sherry, of Derry; two stepdaughters, Carole Taylor and her husband, Donovan, of Jaffrey and Rhonda Simpson and her husband, Earle, of Bedford; eight grandchildren; Tiffany, Kayla, Ryan, Madisyn, Nina, Matthew, Shelby and Casey; a great-grandson, Charles; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Robert was predeceased by his son, Anthony Guidaboni who passed away February 9, 2013.

SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held on Sunday June 12, 2016, from 3 to 7 PM in the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua. All family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service, in the funeral home, on Monday, June 13, 2016, at 10:00 AM. Burial with military honors will follow in the NH State Veteran Cemetery, Boscawen, NH, at 12:30 PM.
