Paul Gerard Hayden
Paul Gerard Hayden, 73, of Nashua, NH, died on June 2, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born on October 1, 1942, the son of the late Paul Hayden and Mary (Pollard). He was the husband of Joanne (Callahan), who he married in 1973.
Paul was a 1961 graduate of North Chelmsford High School. After graduating, he went on to work in management for Star Market for many years. He later retired after 20 years as a postal carrier for USPS. After living in Nashua for 33 years, Paul and Joanne decided to move out west to enjoy the sun in New Mexico, where they lived for seven years before moving home to be with family in August.
Paul’s biggest love was for his family. They have many cherished memories of canoe trips to go fishing on the Nashua River and Connecticut Lakes. He also enjoyed photography and spending time in his garden growing vegetables in the summer. He loved traveling to new places, especially enjoying the beaches in Florida and the Caribbean. While in New Mexico, Paul took up volunteering at a winery and at ReStore for Habitat for Humanity.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Joanne, of Amherst; his son, Steven Hayden and wife Beth, of Lowell, MA; son Brad and wife Cheryl of Sandown; daughter Heather Rampino and her husband Mike, of Amherst; son Sean of Nashua; daughter Tracy Vallee and her husband Joel of Merrimack; and 6 grandchildren, Hunter, Chase, Casey, Alissa, Evan and Madeline with a 7th on the way.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Cremation Society of New Hampshire.
