Mary Poltack, of Nashua, passed away on May 8, 2016, after a fulfilling 89-year life. Born and raised in Manchester, she traveled extensively with her career Navy husband, Henry, until settling down in Nashua in the mid 1960s. She was the daughter of Polish immigrants who came to Manchester to work in the mills. In her early years, she was brought up in the Polish American community and church. She graduated from Manchester Central High School.
A real homebody, she dedicated her life to her family and her home. She was truly blessed by having such wonderful neighbors and friends.
Mary and Henry enjoyed bowling leagues and attending Polish polka dance festivals throughout New England. She also enjoyed going to the various craft and food fairs held throughout the area.
She attended St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Nashua for over forty years.
Members of her immediate family include her sons, Charles and his wife Nancy of Merrimack, and David and his wife Joan of Amherst. She had two grandchildren, Garrett with his wife Samantha, and Stacey, all who she dearly loved and enjoyed participating in their lives.
She was buried alongside her husband, Henry, at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
