Leo R. Tiernan

Leo R. Tiernan, 85, of Melbourne, passed away on Saturday May 28, 2016 in Palm Bay. A native of Nashua, NH, he graduated from University New Hampshire with a degree in chemistry and worked as a chemist in the semi-conductor industry for several companies including Harris in Palm Bay. Leo retired from Digital Equipment Corporation. He was a US Army veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Survivors include his sons, Thomas and Gregory; 6 grandchildren, Christian, Jason, Angeline, Neil, Richard and Tabitha; 3 great-grandchildren, Kaden, Callie and Quinn; sisters, Ruth Moreau, Irene Jean, Clara Guerra and Kathleen Gawloski; cousin, Jean Johansen.

He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Tiernan; daughter, Monica Benson; brother, Martin Tiernan.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 2, 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Babcock St. followed by Military Honors.
