Sebastian Salvatore Palermo
Sebastian Salvatore "Sal" Palermo, 74, of Vero Beach, FL., passed away peacefully Thursday, May 26, 2016, after a valiant battle against cancer.
Sebastian was a graduate of English High School in Boston, Massachusetts, and after high school he served in the United States Army. He had numerous academic achievements in technical studies and then made his career in the high-tech industry, working with companies such as Digital Equipment Corporation and IPBM. Sebastian retired in 2007 from Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and after his retirement he made Vero Beach, FL, his permanent residence.
Sebastian was the beloved husband of 38 years to Paula Jane (Gagnon) Palermo. He lived with his loving wife Paula and their family in Nashua, NH, until they both relocated to Florida. He was an active member of Saint Helens Church, Vero Beach, Florida, and the Vero Beach Veterans Club. Sebastian touched the lives of many and will long be remembered for his generosity, inspiration and musical creativity.
Sebastian was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Rose Palermo of Derry, NH. He is survived by his loving wife, Paula Jane (Gagnon) Palermo of Vero Beach, FL; brothers, Charles Palermo and wife Gaelann of Lawrence, MA, Nicholas Palermo and wife Debra of Derry, NH; his children, Christopher Palermo and wife Jennifer of Littleton, NH, Michelle Palermo-Lajoie of Merrimack, NH, Wendy LeBlanc and husband Anthony of Hudson, NH, Sharon Palermo of Nashua, NH, and Shari Orleans of Mason, NH; his grandchildren Kerri, Nicholas, Nicole, Nitashia, Stefan, Alexander, Nathan, Emily, Sarah and Tegan; his great-grandchildren Seth, Jordan and Anthony; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, June 1st, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm at Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, located at 26 Kinsley Street, Nashua, NH. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on June 2nd at St. Aloysius of Gonzaga Church at 10:00 am, located at 48 W Hollis Street, Nashua NH.
