Paula Stockinger

Paula Stockinger, formerly of New Boston, NH, passed away on November 14th in Rogers, MN, surrounded by her family. Paula was a strong woman focused on bringing people together and making an important difference in the world. She faced many health struggles in recent years with great courage. Paula was a devoted mother, an advocate for the disabled, and she loved nature, music, and the arts. She saw beauty in the world around her.

Paula was born in St. Cloud, MN on April 29th, 1944. She was one of five daughters born to Ed and Leone Stockinger. She graduated from Cathedral High School and St. Louis University and held a wide range of professional roles including teacher in the Peace Corps (Sierra Leone, Africa), environmental consultant with Arthur D. Little, co-founder/director of an alternative high school in Cambridge, MA, and commercial real estate broker, appraiser and consultant.

Paula is survived by her son, Nathan Graves of Francestown, NH; step children, Ginger Bateman (Steve) of Francestown, NH and Jason Graves of Acworth, NH; grandchildren Kaiden Bateman and Aliya Smith. Also survived by sisters, Susan Forys (Ocean Grove, NJ), Joan Stockinger (Minneapolis, MN), Beth Stockinger (Minneapolis, MN) and Amy Stockinger Jensen (Plymouth, MN); along with their husbands, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of Paula’s life will be held at a later date at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation church in Milford, NH.
